Citizens National Bank of
Breckenridge was chartered in 1963 by a group of nine local
businessmen, the majority of whom still serve as Advisory Directors of the
bank. Citizens has remained a "local" bank since that time and
today six of our seven directors live in Breckenridge. Five our our
directors graduated from Breckenridge High School. Because Citizens is a
local bank, we know the products and services that enable our customers to
grow and prosper.
Although many area banks failed and were liquidated by the FDIC during
the great banking crash of the 1980's, Citizens National Bank remained a
strong, independent bank serving the financial needs of Breckenridge
and Stephens County. CNB was first in Breckenridge to offer interest on
savings account balances, Free Checking, Overdraft Privilege, TeleBank
services in both English and Spanish, and now On-line banking via the
World Wide Web.
Service, strength and innovation are what makes Citizens National Bank
the "Banking Leader" in Breckenridge.
